Gene Manley is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. Gene is married with two twin daughters, a grandson, a step-daughter and two step-grandsons, the latter residing in Grayson, Kentucky.
After spending 4 years in the United States Navy assigned to an Aircraft Carrier, Gene developed an interest in photography and purchased his first 35mm Canon camera. He soon realized he had a true passion for this art form and devoted as much of his free time as he could to learning, experimenting with different light levels, scenery, backgrounds and soon his pictures were beautiful, unique and finding a wonderful audience. He also took advantage of a very talented uncle who passed his knowledge of framing on to Gene.
Gene was now equipped with the knowledge he needed to succeed at his true love and this coupled with his God given natural talent to be able to see the beauty and truly interesting moments or situations that would be missed by others became evident in his work and he pursued it further and now enjoys the entire production of a framed photo.
